My Story

Well, where should I start?

My name is Floyd. I’m a black male in my early forties, and I live in Atlanta.

Oh yeah - maybe I should mention that I have written a book, and YOU need to read it!

Why did I write a book? I wrote it because I’ve been through some things in my life that have made for an amazing story, and hearing about it could possibly change your life or the life of someone close to you.

I lost my amazing brother in a tragedy when he was 20 years old. I had to learn how to deal with that and continue to live on, and some of the things that I learned can help people who have lost loved ones close to them.

I’ve been in many relationships and I am currently in a marriage so I’ve seen a lot and learned some lessons that may benefit your current and future relationships or marriage.

I co-parented a child under extremely crazy circumstances with a woman that I hardly knew, and it was through questions about child support and child custody that some dark secrets were revealed from this person that I had to navigate while still being the father that this child needed. You may be a man or a family that has undergone something similar, and I offer ways to deal with these tough situations because our side is often not heard.

I look at my book as a buffet - there’s something in it for everyone! Not only do I talk about my own story - I also teach lessons throughout the book based on what I gained from my experiences and how you can use this knowledge to help you in your journey through life.

If you have lost a loved one and are trying to figure out how to grieve and move on, you need to read this book. If you’re in a relationship or marriage and need some perspectives on different issues such as money or dealing with families, or navigating tough times, you need to read this book. If you are a man that is co-parenting with a woman and you have questions about child support, child custody, legitimizing the child, or if you are wondering if that’s even your blood that is running through that child’s veins, you definitely need to read this book. And if you just want to hear certain nuggets of knowledge that can help you navigate manhood or womanhood, this is the book for you.

I wrote this book from different perspectives for EVERYONE. Therefore, whether you are a father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter, brother or sister - there is something that you can take from this book that you can apply to your life, or something that you can pass on to someone that you know to help them in theirs.

My story is REAL. It is TRUE. And I guarantee that there is not a book out there that talks about all the things that I discuss in my book, and definitely not in the way that I discuss them. These are conversations that need to be had. It’s time to have them.

I want to sincerely thank you for allowing me to introduce my new book - Floyd’s Story: A Letter to Dalilah. Your presence on my website means SO much to me.

I’ll be releasing the book soon. Look out for it!
